Movie mistakes and unscripted lines
Jan. 22nd, 2012 05:39 pmI just saw this article and I had to quote a few of these:
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jaws" star Roy Scheider uttered this classic line the first time his character sees just how big his fishy nemesis is. What most people don't know is that the iconic quip was improvised by Scheider and was not in the final script.—David Onda

"You talkin' to me?"
It's one of the most famous lines in cinema. It also never appeared in the script for the 1976 Robert De Niro movie "Taxi Driver." According to screenwriter Paul Schrader, the script simply said "Travis speaks to himself in the mirror," and De Niro improvised the classic dialogue.—David Onda

"I'm walkin' here!"
In the 1969 classic "Midnight Cowboy," actors Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voigt walk down a busy New York City sidewalk having a conversation. The filming of the scene was timed so the two could cross the street without walking into traffic. Unfortunately, one pushy taxi cab drove through the shot anyway. Fortunately, Hoffman pushed forward, smacking the hood of the taxi and giving the driver a piece of his mind with this famous line.—David Onda
-----------------------
In one of the final scenes of "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," Han Solo (Harrison Ford) is about to be frozen in carbonite when Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) professes her feelings for the intergalactic smuggler by saying, "I love you." The script called for Ford to reciprocate the sentiment, but instead he improvised, famously saying, "I know."—David Onda

The 'Pretty Woman' Laugh
When Richard Gere playfully snaps the jewelry box closed as Julia Robert reaches for her extravagant new necklace, the actress lets out one of the most famous laughs in movie history. As it turns out, the laugh was born of legitimate amusement and surprise because Gere's playful action was completely unplanned.—David Onda
------------------------
"Here's Johnny!"
As Jack Torrance in the 1980 horror film "The Shining," Jack Nicholson rips his way through the Overlook Hotel in pursuit of his movie wife, played by Shelley Duvall. In the movie's most quoted moment, Torrance chops a hole in a bathroom door, announcing to his terrified spouse — "Here's Johnny!" The famous line was Nicholson's own creation. Well, besides all those times Ed McMahon said it.—David Onda
